How
does it work?
While the operator
is seated at the work station the following functions are performed:
- The cover is
manually fed face down into the gluing unit by the operator.
- The glued cover
is automatically fed back to the operator glued side up.
- Operator activates
electric material guides with foot pedal and positions cover.
- Operator activates
motorized cardboard location guides and vacuum with foot pedal.
- Operator places
cardboards then automatically retracts cardboard locators.
- The glued article
is fed directly ahead into the edge turning unit where the front and rear edges
are turned.
- The article
is delivered back to the operator who nips the corners, turns it 90 degrees and
feeds it back into the edge turning unit to finish the remaining 2 sides.
- Depending on
the necessary operations the article is stacked on the rear table or brought
back to the operator for lining to complete the binder, book cover or other article.
Up to 250 edge
turned products per hour can be produced depending on the material and skill
of the operator. More can be produced when applying liner only.
The machine is
equipped with a programmable controller and the control panel is located conveniently,
within reach of the operator. It’s also equipped with a “fault” detection
LED and a daily programmable glue heater timer.
